Outpost Migration
If you are receiving this email, it means you are a subscriber to Major John Haynes Outpost 1 (OP1). OP1 is located in Tallahassee, FL. We are in the process of building out the infrastructure for Outpost 2 (Bainbridge, GA) and Outpost 3 (Luna County, NM). Once the other outposts are set up, we won’t cross pollinate news. What that means is OP1 will only get OP1 news and events, etc. Commanders can always subscribe to the other OP’s but our focus is to deliver direct, relevant, and timely information pertaining to your Outpost. The membership value will be delivered via our new website. The website will make you a better Veteran leader! 💯
The national page will cover updates and news regarding ALL Outposts to show our donors how we’re responsibly handling their donations. OP2 and OP3 links will be sent to everyone in the coming weeks. Just know it’s NOT going to affect your steady stream of local Veteran news and events.
Please vote on a new header image format for Outpost 1. We no longer have access to the source font used to create the Commanders Coalition logo. This is the closest I can get. I confess, I am not a graphics designer…

Stories from the front
Have you or your organization helped a Veteran through a tough situation, send us your stories.
Hi, Team,
Congrats to all for the great day Tuesday’s many Veterans Day events, starting 6:30am for Breakfast at American Legion Post 13, moving to the Veterans Day Parade downtown by 10:30 and then the recognition ceremonies at the Vietnam Memorial and downtown! Kudos to Veteran Events Tally, Leon County Veterans Service and the volunteers from the Legion Post and early morning chef Shane Blodgett;
And then yesterday, Career Source organized a successful “Pay Checks for Patriots” Hiring Fair again which introduced dozens of Veterans with a variety of potential employers (at the Career Center at TCC)—waytogo, Brooklyn and Kenny.
The Legal Clinic yesterday at American Legion Sauls Bridges Post 13 included our volunteer Team of 19, including 7 attorneys, & hosted 19 Veterans and family walking in; (one came up from Tampa by bus) several Veterans volunteered with set up, intakes, etc. even though their court-ordered community service requirements have already been completed (Shane, Khalid, Gregory). Wednesday, Khalid, and Gregory drove to Quincy and, together with Eddie, Leonard, and Chris Bodiford, delivered a variety of drinks (no food items were available this week!!) to several locations around Tallahassee again.
Don’t miss the next VETERANS COURT GRADUATION: NOV 24, 3 PM in the downtown Courthouse, Courtroom 2E. Please consider coming to observe/ maybe becoming a Veteran Mentor for the Vets working their way through the program and recovery. Veterans Court was in session Monday with nearly a dozen Veterans finalizing plans to graduate November 24.
What else?
