Congratulations Class of 2025
Five Veterans representing the Class of 2025 were inducted into the Florida Veterans’ Hall of Fame during ceremonies at the Florida Capitol, Nov. 6. They are from left to right: Retired Air Force Lt. Col. Alicia Rossiter, retired Army Col. Peter Tan, retired Army Lt. Col. Marlené Carter, retired Navy Capt. Bob Crippen, and retired Army Capt. Stephen Petty.
Nominations are open for the Class of 2026 Florida Veterans’ Hall of Fame. If you know a Veteran who has made a significant civic, business, or public service contribution to the state of Florida, nominate them today.

This Saturday, November 22, at 1:00 pm, Post 13 will host a Flag Retirement/Disposal Ceremony at the Tallahassee Automobile Museum. The ceremony will be on the parade field of the museum. The museum is located at U S 90 East and I-10. If you have a flag that needs to be disposed, please bring it with you. Bring your own chair and refreshments. I hope to see many of you at the ceremony.
The Post will be open on Thanksgiving Day from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm for a full Thanksgiving meal. You and your family are invited to dine here at the Post. Several Tallahassee businesses come together to coordinate the resources for the meal and we allow them the use our Post for the lunch. I and my wife will be present, and I hope many of you will join us.

Hi, Team, NO LEGAL CLINIC NEXT THURSDAY, OBVIOUSLY-- ENJOY THANKSGIVING There’s even a Turkey dinner provided at the American Legion Post 13from 11am-1pm that day! (14 business and non-profits are sponsoring the event “Thanksgiving Tallahassee.”)
The Legal Clinic today at American Legion Sauls Bridges Post 13 included our volunteer Team of 18, including 6 attorneys, & hosted 14 Veterans and family walking in; (one came over from Live Oak today, another from Georgia) Several Veterans volunteered with set up, intakes, etc. even though their court-ordered community service requirements have already been completed (Shane, Khalid, Leonard).
At Wednesday’s team included Khalid, Gregory, Charles, Eddie, Leonard, Darrien Kellyand Chris Bodiford, delivered a variety of food and drinks to Vet Village and Homefront Veteran housing complexes. (photo)
Don’t miss the next LEON VETERANS COURT GRADUATION: NOV 24, 3 PM in the downtown Courthouse, Courtroom 2E. Please consider coming to observe/ maybe becoming a Veteran Mentor for the Vets working their way through the program and recovery.
