Afghanistan War Memorial

I have received word the Governor’s office is in the process of building a Global War on Terrorism Memorial directly across the street from the Capitol.

This word came down from Dennis Baker at the Florida Veterans Foundation.

With all of the VSO’s and Veterans sharing information, it took weeks to find out one was already being built.

This is the reason why the Commanders Coalition exists. So information can flow freely between VSO’s.

I am relieved to hear this because the Governors office has already earmarked the funds for this memorial, which means it is going to happen.

I searched online for more information on the planned memorial, but I have not found anything. If you find out something, pass it along to me so I can update everyone.

I greatly appreciate the support everyone has shown, but this endeavor is now in the hands of the Governor.
