Happy Veterans Day ๐บ๐ธ
A message from the National Commander
On Veterans Day we honor the service of the men and women who have served our great nation in uniform. A nation that has been held together by Almighty God, a Constitution, and scores of Americans who have sworn oaths to defend our rights and freedoms. America is a shining bastion of freedom in the world and we salute those who made it their personal obligation to secure it for every generation.
Veterans are a steadfast bastion of defense against tyranny at home and on foreign lands. Americans have fought in many wars and battles across our nation and the world. However, there is one battle I want to mention today: The Battle of Athens.
For those who may not have heard of the Battle of Athens, I encourage you to learn about it. For it is a prime example of what happens when the political process breaks down and the rule of law becomes corrupt. We live in unsettling times. The American people have serious concerns about the future of our nation. I want you to know that Veterans will not tolerate tyranny. We believe in the political process. We believe in the rule of law. We believe in fixing the system from withinโand when it fails, Veterans stand up to restore it.
When you see a Veteran today, shake their hand and tell them thank you. Because we are the constitutional insurance policy. Our oaths have no expiration. To the Commanders out there on the front lines serving Veterans and our communities, THANK YOU. Veteran Service Organizations keep America strong by safeguarding the values we hold dear and by bridging every divide.
