It is with great pleasure that we announce that our new Guitars for Vets Tallahassee Chapter has graduated four Vets in 2023. These Vets have completed a ten week course of individual instruction, at the end of which each receives a brand new guitar and accessories. All are now able to make music for themselves and for others. What is the importance of this?

We have over a million Vets in this country. Many have PTSD or suffer from recurring illnesses related to their time in service. This causes many problems, both psychological and physical, driving some to take their own lives. We are losing twenty Veterans daily in this country as a result. This is a scourge. Those are the facts.

Guitars For Vets is a national veterans service organization with over 120 chapters nationwide. We know that music can heal in many ways. The aim of our program is to put music into the lives of Veterans who need it the most. If we can get just one Vet to pick up a guitar instead of harming themselves, it is all worth it.

In 2023 G4V graduated over 1,000 veterans nationwide.

We are starting 2024 with a full guitar program thanks to the Sauls Bridges Legion Post 13 and Commander Barry Walker, who allow us to run our program from their location in Tallahassee. But that's not all. Once our Vets have graduated we continue their education in different ways, including a twice monthly Circle of Vets where we all play together. There is also a Guitars For Vets Open Mic Night in the works. Look for it on Facebook at 'Guitars for Vets-Tallahassee'.

Currently we are actively seeking qualified students for 2024. No guitar? No problem. We supply everything you need.
