Can you attend the Wednesday meeting?
As you might remember from my previous email, we must have authorization from the families and the Veteran Service Organizations to make this memorial happen.
This declaration is step 1.
IT IS IMPERATIVE; you let me know if you cannot make the meeting or if you would like your VSO to abstain from the declaration.
I want to be clear about about one thing. Signing this declaration in no way shape or form obligates your organization to fund one penny towards the memorial. This is simply an approval letter that is required by the City of Tallahassee and possibly the State of Florida.
This is the first draft of the Afghanistan War Memorial Declaration. Please provide feedback if needed. Also, if you are the authorized representative for your Veterans Service Organization, I need to know if you will be present for the meeting next week.
I would like to receive signatures from the majority of VSO’s before going to meet with the families. Please look over this document. If I am missing any VSO, please let me know.
